Adult Class Structure
Our adult classes are designed to give the student a combination of fitness, technique and free sparring.
We begin our classes with a thorough stretch routine and a light warm-up. Then we move into our positional, escape, and submission drills. These allow the student to receive the cardiovascular and strength training required while developing their skills. Following the drills we practice various techniques from our curriculum that allow the students to advance in rank. The last thirty minutes of every class are spent sparring under the general supervision of the chief instructor.
We believe that proficiency can only be achieved through constant repetition. Our classes emphasize the importance of the core principles based on leverage and physics so that the student develops the muscle memory mechanics needed to succeed. We emphasize position first so that the student has the platform from which to build a solid submission arsenal.
